Capstone Farm Country Park Earthworm Report

The Capstone Farm Country Park Earthworm Report has just been released by the Earthworm Society of Britain. It is available to download from our website via the link below and includes information regarding our findings during the sampling day of our Kent Field Meeting 2014. In total 8 sites across the park were sampled by a team of volunteer earthworm recorders. 11 different species of earthworm were recorded through soil pit sampling and searches of microhabitats ( such as dead wood, leaf litter, grass edges, wood chip and ditches). The ESB would also like to say a big thank you to Dan Gooch for allowing us to sample the park, guiding us to the sites and assisting with the actual sampling.
