Earthworm Society AGM 2023

The Earthworm Society of Britain (ESB) Annual General Meeting for 2023 will take place on Wed 22 Nov 2023 at 19:00. Similar to previous years this will be a virtual event on Zoom, where we will update you on society business and elect trustees for the year ahead. There will then be a series of 15-minute talks from several of our committee members on the various exciting projects we have been working on this year.

ESB members are encouraged to attend the whole event and vote on the proposal put forward for the society. Non-members are welcome to book and attend the entire event, but will be unable to vote on society proposals.

Dr Frank Ashwood

In this project, Frank and his collaborators analysed the National Earthworm Recording Scheme datasets, to reveal earthworm species-habitat associations, and identify trends in amateur naturalist and research earthworm recording.

Keiron Derek Brown

Keiron discusses his work with the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology to see if image recognition technology can be used to identify earthworms from live photos.
