Exploring Earthworm Ecology
“It may be doubted whether there are many other animals which have played so important a part in the history of the world” is a quote from Darwin about earthworms. Although famous for other scientific endeavors Darwin realised the importance of earthworms as ecosystem engineers and wrote an entire book about them. This talk will cover the history of earthworm research and look at some of the experiments that Darwin did with earthworms.
The FSC BioLinks project is funded by the Field Studies Council and National Lottery Heritage Fund. FSC Virtual Meet Ups are made available to all at no cost. However, d an optional fee is available for those that would like the opportunity to contribute financially to the FSC's work to provide adult learning opportunities for a range of audiences.
