The Earthworm Society of Britain AGM for 2021 will take place virtually this year on Saturday 23rd October 2021.
We're delighted to announce that our guest speaker will be Dr Kevin Butt from the University of Central Lancashire. Kevin will be talking about over three decades of earthworm research in his talk "Aspects of Earthworm Research - Examples from 35 years of investigation".

Join ESB Chair, Emma Sherlock, for a summary of the ESB's activity during the past year. Emma's report will include updates about our research, training and recording activities, in addition to the formal AGM actions to appoint committee members and report on the society finances.
Both ESB members and non-members are welcome to attend the AGM portion of this virtual event.

Dr Kevin Butt has been studying earthworms for over three decades, both in the UK and overseas. Kevin has continued the earthworm research of Charles Darwin into the burial of materials at Down House in Kent, investigated the impact of human activities of earthworms on the Isle of Rum and tracked the development of earthworm communities in translocated grassland.
During this virtual talk, Kevin will delve into his experience as an earthworm ecologist and highlight some of his fascinating discoveries...
