New key to British earthworms
New Key to British Earthworms
Earthworm identification has now never been easier thanks to a new key to the British species. Emma Sherlock, curator of free living worms at the Natural History Museum, London, and ESB President, has written a new key to earthworms. This is a user-friendly key and is ideal for those who have never identified earthworms before. It will be a full colour publication with lots of brand new photos to aid in identification. It will also include lots of useful advice about earthworm sampling and preservation, so it will be a useful guide for the earthworm enthusiast. It is currently in its testing stage and is available from the Field Studies Council website here: www.field-studies-council.org/publications/aidgaptesters.asp The full key will be publsih later, once testing has been successfully completed.
