Did you know there are 27 species of earthworm in the UK? Would you know how to tell the difference? Or what each one does that makes it so unique?
Well, if you don't mind getting hands-on with our wriggly little friends why not join us on an earthworm identification workshop, led by earthworm our experts.
Who is it for?
All are welcome to come along to Parks Oak Barn on Saturday 26 March for a fun day identifying different earthworm species using guides and tapping into expert knowledge on how to make the most out of earthworms in your garden or allotment. This workshop is designed to be an informal, fun introduction to identifying earthworms and is suitable for all ages, abilities and knowledge.

During the workshop you will:
• Learn about soil ecology and earthworm habitats
• Learn how to attract more earthworms into your garden
• Learn how you can help us with our national recording scheme
• Have a fun day out getting your hands dirty!
• Impress your friends, family and fellow gardeners with your new found knowledge!

Future identification training workshops
The ESB will be running many more free identification workshops, dates and locations to be confirmed soon, however, we would be delighted to hear from you should you wish us to hold an identification workshop at your local environmental centre, for your natural history group or as part of a bigger event. Please contact Dan on dan@earthwormsoc.org.uk to discuss your idea today!
