Earthworm Society of Britain launch event, 31 October 2009
The Earthworm Society of Britain was launched on Saturday 31 October 2009. To celebrate the launch of the Society we held a scientific test of worm charming methods in Hyde Park (photos below).
We tested four different methods: fork twanging, grunting, tapping and music. We also had a control where no charming took place. Full details of the methods and the results are available here.
Eighty people attended the launch and great fun was had by all. A BBC film crew were also in attendance to record the days events. We will let you know when the footage will be broadcast.
